What does it mean to be ready to dance at any time, with anyone, anywhere? There are no set formulas, however, there is an attitude of body-mind that can be cultivated to bring us to that place of total alertness—to go beyond thinking our way through the dance and attune us to what is actually taking place. Explored themes will include: tumbling, flying, variable speeds, direct action and initiation, resistance, disappearance, surprising ways of moving weight, extending our personal range of movement, and integrating our imagination and heart . For those with a solid grasp of Contact fundamentals and at least two years of regular CI practice.

Andrew de Lotbinière Harwood, artistic director of AH HA Productions, is an international teacher, performer, and creator in the field of instantaneous choreography and contact improvisation since 1975. His work has been presented in numerous international festivals since 1980 and he has collaborated with many renowned dance artists including Steve Paxton, Kirstie Simson, Chris Aiken, and Benoit Lachambre, among many others.

   Regular Rate: Employed but struggling (teacher, librarian, lots of kids, etc.): $210
   Professional Rate: Actually contributing to your retirement plan (support the arts!): $235
