Authentic Movement with David Hurwith
Tuesdays, May 6 - June 3
7 - 9:30pm, Free

A movement form that is like an arrow towards the interior landscape. A dancer moves with the special presence of the witness. Personal imagery, sensation, emotion and the unknown come to consciousness with movement as the source. The experience of this process is useful to the artist as seminal material and to anyone committed to their own personal evolution.

The purpose of this workshop is to introduce participants to the practice of authentic movment and how it can be used for personal reflection and creative process. You will hae the opportunity to examine the dynamics of moving, witnessing, imagining, and remembering. Beginners welcome.

David Hurwith makes dances for the Antediluvisnas. His choreography has been presented at theaters in the United States and Europe and has been seen in feature films and department store windows. David has trained as a facilitator in Authentic Movement and spent the last twenty years researching methods of healing, training and nourishing his body and psyche. Body Mind Centering and Contact Improvisation are the anatomical visions that Mr. Hurwith has immersed himiself in and that remain profound and inspiring.
