Facility Rental

Earthdance is an ideal setting for groups, workshops, conferences, weddings, reunions and other events. Check out our
facilities to learn more about our living accommodations, studios, sauna and 80 acres of glorious Berkshire hills. Groups may opt to have us prepare gourmet meals for them, or cook their own food in our well-equipped kitchen.

Rental fees vary according to use, number of people, and season. Contact us with your ideas and visions and we'll work with you to design a delicious, affordable adventure.

This is a call to dancers, improvisers, visual artists, writers, and creators of all kinds. Do you have a piece that you have been dreaming of completing surrounded by the quiet of forested hills? Are you finishing your book or screenplay? Would you like to spend a month in rural western Massachusetts, surrounded by trees, land and sky? Earthdance offers artistic retreat residencies and the opportunity to share your teaching treasures by offering a weekly class to our residents and local community.

The residencies are generally one month long. At times we can make accommodations for shorter visits and creative structures that match your schedule and focus. You will be living amongst our residents in a communal setting, so there is ample time for interaction, as well as personal retreat and exploration. It is possible for a fee to bring other artists, or schedule a few residents at one time to support your project and process.

In the residency, we provide room and board and at least 4 hours of studio time per day when available.* The fee is $600 per month, or $150 per week. We ask for 3 hours of work exchange and one class per week. After completion of the residency, we ask that you send a report +/or some artistic relic of your time at Earthdance, as well as any feedback that might be valuable to build our program. We do not offer residencies in the summer months of June through August.

In order to apply for our Artist Resident program, please fill out our application and send all required materials by email or mail to:

Upon acceptance, you will be asked to send a bio and image for our records.

* This studio time is structured around our other activities, and our schedule varies. There may be during the month long residencies a few days, especially on weekends, when we cannot provide studio time and or private room. Our fee will be determined accordingly.

Support Staffing

Volunteers are the main support of the operation of Earthdance, working in a variety of assigned tasks including housekeeping, office assistance, cooking, grounds maintenance, and workshop and festival support. In exchange, support staff receive:

  • Complimentary room (shared) and board,
  • Use of dance studios and other Earthdance facilities (when not in use by the rental groups), and
  • Free participation in community events (jams, performance nights, etc).
Support staff work for 4 hours a day and can come for a few days to a few weeks at a time, depending on the needs of Earthdance.  With large projects, large rental groups, and staff vacations, Earthdance often has a need for extra hands.  Support staff is determined by skill level, availability, and interest.

If you would like to join our Support Staff listserve, please email volunteer@earthdance.net , with a brief description of your area of interests.
